Terms of Service

Last updated 20 October 2026

These terms cover your use of insideout. By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use insideout.

Your account

You can use insideout without an account. If you make one, keep access to your email or Google account safe, because that's how you sign in. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You need to be at least 13 to use insideout.

Free and paid

Some units are free. Others need a paid plan. Prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. When paid plans open, the checkout will show the price, how billing works, and how to cancel before you pay.

Your code is yours

Code you write in insideout belongs to you. You let us store it so your progress follows you between computers, and use it as described in the Privacy page to improve the lessons.

Our content

The lessons, stories, text, pictures and starter code are ours. You can use them to learn and to build your own projects. Please don't copy or resell the lessons themselves.

Fair use

Don't try to break, overload or get around insideout's limits, don't access other people's accounts or data, and don't use it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep insideout accurate and running, but it's provided as it is. Lessons can contain mistakes and the site can be down at times. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using insideout, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Ending

You can stop using insideout and delete your account at any time from the account menu. We may stop offering insideout or parts of it. If we close a paid plan, we'll refund the unused part.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site before the change takes effect.
